- [Atrium Clerestory Windows](https://dschoolafrika.org/building-features/actuated-windows/) - Critical to the emergency smoke extract strategy, the clerestory windows are automatically actuated to open and close to provide night flushing: opening at night to allow airflow through the building for the following day by removing the heat built up during the day. This also reduces the energy demand of the air-conditioning system.
