Dr. Jekatarina Rindt is a lecturer at Lancaster University and academic co-lead on the EEUK project with Dr. Radka Newton. Jekaterina’s work focuses on exploring the challenges of using Design Thinking in complex innovation ecosystems. Her most recent work is funded by the British Academy and examines the use of Design Thinking in advancing decarbonisation efforts in the UK and Germany. She has also advised the UK Ministry of Defense on Design Thinking and innovation practices in complex organisations. Her passion for transforming teaching in Higher Education won her the university Teaching Award. Her aim to advance the impact of Design Thinking on local communities drives her contribution to the project to be shared at the d-school Afrika event.
