Nailah has been a lecturer in Health Innovation and Design since its inception in 2015. She guides multidisciplinary students to innovate for health through the use of design thinking methodologies and has played a major role in the development of the course curriculum. Nailah has trained as a Coach and Lead with the Hasso Plattner School of Design Thinking at the University of Cape Town since 2016 and facilitates the use of design tools among diverse participants, ranging from members of the finance industry to postgraduate. Nailah believes that innovation will lead to better health services and products that will alleviate South Africa’s massive burden of disease. Nailah holds an MPhil in Health Innovation from the Division of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Cape Town .
